Mr.Hurricane Band, after an intense year of work and dedication, achieves a high quality product and enters the international market with the release of his second album ‘Hard Driving’.

Hard Driving is the song that opens the album, but it is also a reference to the experience and ‘hard driving’ that this group has been collecting on stage and on the roads over time.

Mr.Hurricane Band, started performing in 2001 presenting the blues jam sessions of the famous La Boitte concert hall in Barcelona. Since then, the band has developed its own way of performing blues that has given it great recognition everywhere, both in Spain and in France.
Now, this musical label is an obvious reality with this album full of fresh and innovative rith’m & blues where most of the compositions are from the group.
The guitarist Andreu Martínez stands out in his composition work, who with his ideas manages to take the sound of Mr.Hurricane Band one step further than the previous cd. This quartet thus reaffirms itself as an open group that takes the legacy of classical blues (BB King, Little Walter, etc.), but which denotes a great interest in the music of modern blues authors, and sets out to explore the lands of jazz, fusion music or the new bluegrass.

All the compositions have a clear criterion: to make music that fits with the basic formation of harmonica, guitar, bass and drums. In this way, we find on the one hand, the great soloists, Andreu Martínez on guitar and Joan Pau Cumellas on harmonica, and, on the other hand, a base fantastically integrated by Ramon Vagué on bass and in Pere Foved on drums.

Mr.Hurricane Band, is a group of leading musicians in our country who, especially in the case of the harmonica player Joan Pau Cumellas, already have a good international recognition. That is why his music is full of good solo interventions, and also full of melodies and rhythmic games in which all musicians play a leading role. This ‘Hard Driving’ album therefore features great guitar and harmonica solos combined with fantastic unison, and a marked presence of bass and drums with their good arrangements throughout all the compositions.
